Children's Sunday School

Pre-School - 2nd Floor CLC (Room 211)

We have a Rotation Style Sunday School Program. Each month we have a specific theme and each Sunday the kids rotate to one of the rooms below to experience the theme in a different way. It could be through games, drama, puppets, music, crafts, science, or even cooking. As the kids travel from room to room the Shepherds travel with them, but the workshop leaders change from month to month.

On Sunday mornings during the Sunday School hour we will have a more lighthearted activity planned. Wednesday night is our serious study night so mostly we have activities or games that follow the Bible passages that Bro. Denman will be preaching on.

Foundations in Faith

Study in a class that focuses on the application of Scripture to daily life.

Enjoy a class taught by Carol Powers, a very strong and knowledgeable Christian.

We are a caring and praying group of people who are

in close fellowship with one another and study how

to live as a Disciple of Christ.

SUNDAY AT 9:15 IN THE CHAPEL

We study the Adult Bible Studies published by

Abingdon Press for the International Lesson Series

We have an interactive class that enjoys an open

discussion style of teaching

We have designated teachers who share teaching

responsibilities with other class members

We care for members of our class in their time of need We adopt one Hendersonville resident over 60 through the HomeBound Meals Program and cover the cost of his /her meals

We tend the Prayer Garden outside the chapel and the island closest to the chapel

We give a memorial gift to the Church Library in memory of the death of a member or their immediate family

We have an open fellowship brunch and business meeting every 5th Sunday in Fellowship Hall

Women of Faith

Women of Faith and Prayer

The Women Of Faith & Prayer Sunday School Class meets at 9:15 a.m. on the 2nd Floor of the CLC Adult Wing, Room 209.

Women of all ages, married or single are invited as we share, nurture and study.

Taught by Barbara Broersma, the current Bible study is based on the book, The Life God Blesses, by Jim Cymbala.
